Did GOP Candidate Sarah Haynes Put Children at Risk?

Parkside GOP borough council candidate Sarah Haynes, for the second year in a row, hosted a Fourth of July Party at the home of a pedophile and Parkside’s only Sexually Violent Predator (SVP). The Facebook event invited adults to spend six hours drinking alcohol at the home of a convicted child rapist, specifying children were welcome to attend the event called “Hoedown Throwdown”, as long as they were indoors after 8pm.

In 2000, the nearly 30-year old pedophile was convicted of raping a 12-year old girl, the babysitter of his 3 children. He was also charged and convicted of intimidating a witness after he continued to contact and meet up with the child victim.

Evaluation by a forensic psychologist resulted in this pedophile being labeled a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) requiring lifetime registration. The Megan's Law website defines an SVP as "a sexual offender who has been determined by the Court, after evaluation by the Sexual Offenders Assessment Board, to have a mental abnormality or personality disorder that makes the person likely to engage in predatory sexually violent offenses."

Sarah Haynes, ironically a volunteer with Delco Bikers Against Child Abuse, is okay with not only associating herself with a convicted child rapist, but also with inviting Parkside residents to bring their children to a pedophile’s home. Do you really want this reckless and irresponsible decision-making on Parkside Borough Council?
